While we’re waiting for AA6DY to report, below is our “Best Guess” for AA6DY in the area between Micronesia and Guam between now and November 12th. For our followers, try to point your antennas to help us get a fix on our location. This area is within 100 miles of our last report showing we’re in a slow moving system. We’re happy to still be flying.

K9YO woke at 09:00 UTC at Grid IN82GN, South of Bilbao, Spain flying at an altitude of 12,840 meters, 42,115 feet.

K9YO has been traveling in a very fast Jetstream with the “Best Guess” wakeup on November 13th, East of the Caspian Sea.
Our Locate and Track page has been updated for Pico Balloon K9YO with the NOAA Hyplit model, Ventusky for wind speed and direction, APRS and Sondehub for tracking active Pico Balloons around the World. Pico Balloon AA6DY will be updated on this link when it wakes. We expect from time to time that our balloons may not always report based on their location.
The Northern Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade is always meeting, and planning for our future launches. We hope to have our new Pico Balloons up in a few weeks, so stay tuned.
