Pico Balloon K9YO was first to report this morning at 13:08 UTC at Grid HO71GO. K9YO was just west of Ireland over the North Atlantic Ocean. K9YO is flying at an altitude of 12,420 meters, 40,738 feet.

Our Pico Balloon K9YO has been on a fast track already circumanvigating the globe the second time on November 6th, is expected to be near Libya on November 12th.
Pico Balloon AA6DY has been quiet these last couple of days last reporting on November 5th,. We did receive a report on November 8th at 21:22 UTC at Grid QJ56. This 4 Grid Maidenhead shows us at the same location the NOAA Hysplit Model had predicted. We were received by one station, Harada, JA5OPR, from Japan. It only takes one station for us to receive our location, thanks to “Yasu” for finding our balloon.

Our Locate and Track page has now been updated for both Pico Balloons K9YO and AA6DY with our “Best Guess” for November 12th.
