October 24th 2022, AA6DY, Second Circumnavigation around the World

Pico Balloon AA6DY was launched on September 3rd 2022 from Willow Hill Golf Course in Northbrook, Illinois. AA6DY made its first Circumnavigation around the World on September 24th 2022 after 21 days and 7 hours of flight. Now after 51 days and 7 hours of flight, AA6DY has Circumnavigated the World the second time, going to sleep over Grid EM52 near the Alabama border at 21:22 UTC.

  1. Congratulations on completing lap number two and to K9YO for completing its first lap. It great to see our balloons enduring their lengthy journeys and still reporting at great altitudes. Both look like they are doing well and will keep going for a long time.
